Designed as a seamless extension of the existing high school, the project enhances athletic programming while strengthening school identity and pride.
The addition establishes a clear and welcoming front door for students, athletes, and the public. The exterior expression balances durable materials with contemporary detailing, while illuminated North Mac branding reinforces visibility and school identity during evening events and community use.
At the core of the project is the expanded gymnasium, designed to support a wide range of athletic and school activities. Updated finishes, improved lighting, and a new competition court create a high-quality environment for practices, games, and assemblies. Two simple mezzanines improve spectator viewing, enhancing the overall game-day experience for both smaller crowds and a full house.
The new Entry Commons serves as both a functional connector and a place of celebration. This open, light-filled space provides access to the gymnasium and support areas while showcasing Panther Pride. Branded display cabinets are integrated into the commons to house trophies, awards, and memorabilia—honoring the achievements of North Mac athletes and preserving the school’s athletic legacy.
New locker rooms and public restrooms were incorporated to improve functionality and accommodate increased use. These spaces were designed with durability, accessibility, and long-term maintenance in mind, ensuring the facility serves students and the community for years to come.
