G&H aimed to create a peaceful sanctuary away from the bustling factory floor at Reynolds Consumer Products. To achieve this, they designed a soothing retreat for employees to enjoy during their break times. The project involved remodeling three cafeterias across two different locations with 2 additions, ensuring that each space provided a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Additionally, G&H added a seating area for a health clinic and a mother's room, catering to the diverse needs of the staff.
The remodeled cafeterias feature bright colors that uplift the mood and create a vibrant environment. Fresh vending options and a clean prep area were introduced to encourage healthier eating habits among employees. Comfortable seating arrangements were also a key focus, allowing staff to unwind and recharge during their breaks. These thoughtful design choices have significantly enhanced the overall break time experience for the employees.
In addition to the cafeteria upgrades, G&H introduced several new amenities to further support the well-being of the staff. A private room for nursing mothers was created, providing a comfortable and secure space for them. The health clinic now boasts a newly renovated seating area, offering a more pleasant experience for those needing medical attention. Private toilet facilities were also upgraded, ensuring that employees have access to clean and modern restrooms.
To connect the interior spaces with the outside world, the skylights were rejuvenated and expanded, allowing natural light to flood the areas. This not only brightens up the rooms but also creates a sense of openness and connection to the exterior environment. The combination of these design elements has transformed the break areas into inviting and rejuvenating spaces, making a positive impact on the overall workplace atmosphere.
